Rich is a methodical technician and boxing connoisseur.

Rich fought as an Amateur Boxer from 2003 to 2010 for Huthwaite Boxing Club in Sutton In Ashfield under the tuteledge of Stewart Nubley out of Ashfield Spartans and Hector Muir winning an Amateur Boxing Championship to his name.

Rich became a Boxing Coach from 2017 onwards starting the Mansfield All Star Amateur Boxing Boxing Club in Mansfield, which morphed into the Mansfield Boxing Academy and now the revamped Ashfield Spartans Boxing Academy. Rich is often a popular choice for padwork.
